Condolence From: Marlene Odom
Condolence: Dearest Dorothy, Van and I are deeply sorry for your loss and we are grieved that we have not been home to offer our support and love at this most difficult time. Are hearts were broken when we read the news. Please know we love you and are praying for you and your family, especially Ann, Carleigh, Cole, Margie, Cole and Victoria.
I've known Bart for almost 40 years as we are the same age and share many of the same friends. Gary and Greg, I am so sorry for your loss of your brother and life long best friend. My prayers are with you and hundreds of others who are morning the loss of such a warm, friendly and caring person.
My favorite memory of Bart was when we both took our children the the MRMC childcare facility. Bart was always so patient and observant of Carleigh. He allowed her to walk at her own little two-year old pace, never picking her up to rush her in and drop her off for the day like the rest of us. If Carleigh wanted to stop and check out a rock, watch a butterfly going by or stopped to say 'Hi', Bart watched her patiently and just smiled. His love for her was evident.
You are missed my friend but will remain alive within all of who called you our friend.

Condolence: My heartfelt sympathies go out to Bart's entire family. He was a fair minded judge, a fun loving, yet sincere, caring and compassionate man. The loss, particularly the circumstances of this fine man's loss is an unspeakable tragedy. To his immediate family: Trust that one moment, bringing permanent solution to what probably would have been a temporary problem, must not be the burden that will haunt your heart forever...Instead, prayers for your strength to remember the wonderful years with this man that you were blessed to share. God Bless you with healing for peace of your spirit, and serenity of your soul. God's Love and prayers to you all.

Condolence: My heart aches for you, Bart's family and friends, at your tragic loss. Praying that God will send you comfort and peace at this most difficult time. I remember Bart from grade school and later in high school. Our paths crossed a couple of times through the years and though I didn't know him well, he left an impression of being honest and kind- even in those early years. He will be missed.
With deepest sympathy,
Judi and Jack Stout and family

Condolence: Bart and I became acquainted when He came to OSU and pledged SAE where I was housemother. Bart was a strong leader in the chapter, not only as an effective and dependable officer, but also as a gentleman. I grew to love and admire him during those years. It is clear from Bart's obituary and the many tributes expressed, that Bart made his life count. I am quite sure that Bart's friends and loved ones have many treasured moments in their hearts and minds that will become increasingly precious over time. I know I do. May the peace of God fill your hearts and minds.

Condolence: I will miss seeing Bart at the courthouse. He was always so kind to me and his smile would light up a room. He was a fair, compassionate, non-judgmental judge for the City of Muskogee, and truly wanted to help people who were less fortunate. He believed in giving people that went before him more than a second chance. He will be truly missed. My most sincerest condolences to his family. RIP Judge Fite!!

Condolence: I graduated with Bart at MHS in 1977 where I met him in a circle of friends from our youth group at Boulevard Christian Church. Bart was very special and his soul had a light that just captivated an audience. I have always thought of Bart and the heartwarming film, "Where the Red Fern Grows". Bart was cast as a bully in the film released in 1974 and filmed in Tahlequah. A Later 1984 remake of the movie lists his character as Bully Bart, but he was anything but a bully. He was so very cute and handsome even at that young age. He will never be forgotten and Heaven has a blessed angel ready to continue his good works. Prayers for his family.

May his soul rest in peace.
