Romana E Bobo
Romana Evelyn (Prax) Bobo, 82, passed away on Monday August 28, 2017 in McKinney, Texas. Romana was born on March 2, 1935 in Fairfax, MN to Peter and Evelyn Prax. She moved to Muskogee, OK in 1972. It was there that she met and married Kendred Bobo in 1974 and worked for several years at the Muskogee Daily Phoenix newspaper.

Romana’s family and friends will remember her as a kind and tenacious person who always had a smile on her face. She was an active and dedicated member of York Street Christian Church and will be missed by the numerous friends she made there. She volunteered at the church whenever she was able. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, working jigsaw puzzles, and crossword puzzles. Romana’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Romana is preceded in death by her husband, Kendred Bobo in 1997; brothers, Jerome Prax in 1987, and Merle Prax in 1994; daughters, Linda Morgan in 2013, and Mary Alice Cherry in 2017.

She is survived by her children, James Bobo (Cindy) of Midland, TX, Rose Marie Farmer (James) of Muskogee, OK; siblings, Harriet Teich of Pine City, MN, DeWayne Prax (Mary) of Winstead, MN, Claire Prior (Ronald) of Dahlonega, GA, Michael Prax (Valerie) of Mora, MN, Jeffery Prax of Idaho Falls, ID; grandchildren, Jason Morgan (Mandy) of Anna, TX, David Farmer of Muskogee, Joshua Bobo (Gaudencia) of Midland, TX, Krista Myers-Dillon (Frank) of Muskogee, OK, Jeremy Cherry (Patrecia) of Muskogee, OK, Sarah Curtis (David) of San Antonio, TX, Rachel Lane (Brandon) of Muskogee, OK; and numerous great-grandchildren, family members, and friends.
A celebration of Romana’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2017 at York Street Christian Church with Pastor Gene Thompson officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Flowers or donations will be received at York Street Christian Church at 1125 S. York Street, Muskogee, OK 74403.
